Celebrate completing the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim (R2R) hike with the Rim to Rim Medal. This medal commemorates one of the most iconic and demanding hiking achievements in the United States, crossing the canyon from one rim to the other.

The Rim to Rim route, often referred to as R2R, takes hikers through the vast and dramatic landscape of the Grand Canyon, descending to the Colorado River and climbing back out on the opposite side. This design is inspired by a classic Grand Canyon view, featuring the Colorado River flowing through the canyon and the recognizable Black Suspension Bridge. The medal also highlights the primary routes along the North Kaibab, South Kaibab, and Bright Angel trails, capturing the essence of the journey. As a unique detail, the design includes a reference to the 313-million-year-old fossilized trackway on the Bright Angel Trail, which preserves 28 footprints from an early reptile. As one of the premier extreme challenge hikes, completing this route represents a significant achievement for experienced hikers pushing their limits.
