Lost Coast Medal
Celebrate completing the Lost Coast Trail with the Lost Coast Trail Medal. This medal commemorates one of the most remote and rugged coastal hikes in the United States, located along the wild shoreline of Northern California.
The Lost Coast Trail spans approximately 25.3 miles, stretching from Mattole to Black Sands Beach. Known for its isolation and untouched beauty, the trail takes hikers along dramatic ocean cliffs, black sand beaches, and tide-dependent sections, making timing and preparation essential. This unique route offers an unforgettable adventure through one of California’s most pristine coastal environments.

The medals are amazing!! Very high quality, shipped quickly, & nicely packaged. I surprised 2 of my friends with these medals after we completed our trek of the Lost Coast. We all loved them! It was a special way to commemorate our journey & accomplishment :)
Great product and great vendor. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
I can't say enough about these medals and the owner/maker, Wim!! My wife and I take our two boys on backpacking adventures here in California and I was in search of medals to reward them for their tremendous effort. I was truly surprised by the lack of options out there for this sort of thing, especially for incredibly popular and well-known trails like the John Muir Trail. That's when I found Hiker Medals on Etsy. Not only are these beautifully designed, but they are expertly crafted and even include a custom engraving option! Even beyond the quality of the medals, I was blown away by the incredible customer service. Wim is super responsive and has been open to suggestions for future trail medals as well! I'm thrilled to have found this gem of a shop on Etsy and look forward to many more adventures and medals!
